>Frodo is now online

I'm sure, when watching Lord of the Rings, that many people wonder why the only power the One Ring seems to demonstrate is turning its wearer invisible. After all, it's supposed to be immensely powerful and while invisibility is nothing to sneeze at, it seems a little lackluster for all the trouble the Ring causes. I have a theory, but first it depends on a few pieces of information:

    1. the Rings of Power are all intrinsically connected to the One Ring
    2. in Tolkien's world there is something called the Unseen World

The Unseen World is essentially the spirit world, or the astral plane. The One Ring pulls you into that world, and the Ring Wraiths exist almost entirely within it (in fact, without their robes they would be as invisible as Frodo is when wearing the Ring)—this is why Frodo saw their true forms on Weathertop while wearing the Ring.

I don't know if there's any official explanation as to the specific method by which the Rings of Power are connected to the One, but I think it's through the Unseen World. So my theory goes thus:

Frodo can log in, but doesn't have any Admin privledges.

He's pulled into the Unseen World, but can't do anything. And every time he puts on the Ring, Sauron and the Nazgûl get a pop-up saying >Frodo is now online leaving them scrambling to track his IP, the whole time yelling Who the fuck is Frodo?!
